⭐ FULL STORY BREAKDOWN
1. Lee Tang — The Accidental Killer
Lee Tang is an awkward, harmless student working part-time at a convenience store.
One night, a drunk customer attacks him violently.Tang hits back with a hammer in pure self-defense — and kills him.
Terrified, he runs away and hides the crime.
Later he learns:
The person he killed was a dangerous serial murderer
The police even think Tang “saved” future victims
The killing was accidental but the outcome was “good”
This twists his mind.
He starts wondering:
“Why did the world put me in that moment? Was I meant to stop him?”
2. Strange Pattern — Killing Only Evil People
More incidents occur where Tang gets into conflicts with suspicious characters.
Each time he ends up killing someone…
…and each victim turns out to be a criminal — abusers, kidnappers, murderers.
Tang begins believing he has a supernatural instinct:
“I can sense villains.”
But he is NOT a psychopath. He is scared, confused, and filled with guilt.
3. Detective Jang Nan-gam — The Hunter
Detective Jang Nan-gam is a sharp, stubborn officer.
He notices:
All the victims had criminal histories
Their deaths look accidental
Witnesses describe a “young man who looks frightened”
Nan-gam becomes obsessed with catching Tang.
But as he studies him, he realizes:
Tang is not evil.
Tang is not enjoying killing.
Tang is just unlucky… and caught in violent fate.
Nan-gam becomes conflicted:
Should he arrest Tang?
Or protect him?
Or guide him to stop?
4. Song Chon — The Real Monster
Enter Song Chon, a frightening psychopath who LOVES killing.
He sees news about Tang’s murders and becomes fascinated.
To him, Tang looks like:
a fellow predator
a talented killer
someone chosen by destiny
Song Chon tries to “mentor” Tang — to turn him into a perfect killer.
He thinks they are the same.
But they are complete opposites:
Lee Tang | Song Chon |
Kills by accident or self-defense | Kills for pleasure |
Feels guilt and panic | Feels joy and power |
Wants to stop | Wants to continue |
Becomes human | Becomes monster |
5. Fate Collides — Tang, Nan-gam, Song Chon
As Tang tries to escape everything:
Song Chon hunts him
Nan-gam chases him
More criminals appear around him
Tang realizes he can’t run from fate
Everything leads to a final confrontation.

⭐ THE ENDING (Episode 8)
🔪 Tang vs Song Chon — Final Battle
Song Chon attacks Tang brutally.
Tang fights back to survive.
For the first time, Tang kills intentionally — to stop Song Chon from killing again.
This is the first kill he chooses, not fate forces.
👮 Nan-gam’s Judgment
Nan-gam finds Tang but does NOT arrest him.
He realizes:
Tang is not a serial killer
He never kills good people
He is a victim of circumstances
Song Chon manipulated many events
Tang saves lives, though unintentionally
Nan-gam tells him:
“Your punishment is to live with the guilt.
Not prison.”
Nan-gam lets him go.
🌑 Tang’s Future — Is He Free?
Tang disappears into a quiet life…
…but the final scene reveals:
Tang still senses “dark auras”
He still feels drawn to people who might be evil
His ability isn’t gone
His fate as a “paradoxical killer” may continue
This leaves the story morally open:
Is Tang cursed?
Chosen?
Or simply unlucky?
The drama never gives a clear answer — making the ending deep and haunting.
⭐ MEANING OF THE TITLE
“A Killer Paradox” means:
Tang kills killers
A killer who stops killers
Killing evil creates moral confusion
Is he hero or villain?
It is a paradox — a contradiction with no clear right or wrong.
